Lucas has been part of the BMJ Government Relations department since 2016 with a focus on political analysis and the legislative process. During graduation he was deputy general coordinator of the Politeia Project, a simulation of the legislative process in partnership with the House of Representatives, and participated in three scientific initiation projects. Between January and June 2016, he worked as an intern at the Parliamentary Affairs Subchefia of the Presidency of the Republic, where he was part of the advisory team of the Minister of the Government Secretariat in conducting the relationship between the Planalto Palace and the National Congress during the impeachment process. Lucas Fernandes holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Brasília (UnB) and an MBA in Government Relations from the Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV).
