Gabriela de Campos Teixeira Fontenele

Gabriela de Campos Teixeira Fontenele is a Senior Consultant at BMJ, working within the Strategy and Business Directorate. She holds a degree in International Relations from the University of Brasília (UnB), a Master’s degree in Comparative International Politics from the Institute of International Relations at UnB (IREL/UnB), and an MBA in Government Policy and Public Management. Gabriela has extensive experience in negotiation, government relations, and international policy. She served as a Senior Policy Specialist in the Political Section of the U.S. Embassy for 14 years, focusing on Brazil–U.S. bilateral relations. She also served as International Advisor at the Secretariat of Drug Policy within the Institutional Security Cabinet of the Presidency of the Republic. In addition, she coordinated the Frontier Project in the Amazon region at the Ministry of Defense and led the Space Area within the International Advisory Office of the Ministry of Science and Technology. Within the same advisory office, she also coordinated the MTCR Regime Area in the Non-Proliferation Coordination. Gabriela further served as International Advisor to the Center for Strategic Studies at the Ministry of Science and Technology. She has solid experience in complex international negotiations involving government policies and strategies, as well as government relations and advocacy. Gabriela has received several awards from the U.S. Department of State.
