Raquel Alves is a Senior Consultant in the Federal Policy coordination and has been part of BMJ since 2022. She also worked at Agência Nordeste, Agência CMA, Jornal DCI, TV Record, and the JOTA portal, always focusing on political event coverage. She has experience in real-time reporting, and for most of her career, she has worked with hard news. She followed the vote counting for seven of the nine direct presidential elections held after the redemocratization process. She covered the energy crisis in 2001, as well as the implementation of regulatory agencies and the impeachment of Dilma Rousseff (PT).
