Lucia was a career employee at Banco do Brasil, serving in the International and Foreign Trade Directorates, in the areas of international financial operations, export and import, credit lines of international banks and PROEX management. She was requested by the Ministry of Development, Industry And Foreign Trade, to assume, in 2006, the position of Director in the Executive Secretariat, as member of the Committee of Credit and Export Guarantees – COFIG and later in the Council of Ministers of the Foreign Trade Chamber. In addition to COFIG, Lúcia Helena was MDIC’s representative in other entities such as the Committee for the Evaluation of Credits Abroad (COMACE), the Foreign Trade Committee of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Cotton (IBA) and the fiscal council of APEX Brasil. In the last years of her work with CAMEX, she has provided direct advice to the President of the Council of Ministers on issues related to export credits, as well as coordination and participation in interministerial technical groups on specific topics such as rules of official programs, negotiations of financing conditions, concessional credits and other guarantees and financing structures, especially for countries in Latin America and Africa. Lúcia holds a degree in International Relations (UnB), with a Masters in International Business (UnB).
