Lucas has been a member of the BMJ Government Relations department since 2016, focusing on political analysis and the legislative process. During his undergraduate studies, he was deputy general coordinator of the Politeia Project, a simulation of the legislative process in partnership with the Chamber of Deputies, and participated in three scientific initiation projects. Between January and June 2016, he interned at the Deputy Chief of Parliamentary Affairs of the Presidency of the Republic, where he was part of the advisory team to the Minister of the Government Secretariat in managing the relationship between the Planalto Palace and the National Congress during the impeachment process. Lucas Fernandes holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Brasília (UnB) and is currently pursuing an MBA in Government Relations from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV).
