Raquel Alves is a Senior Consultant at BMJ and has been a member of the Intelligence and Political Analysis Center since 2022. She has also worked at Agência Nordeste, Agência CMA, Jornal DCI, TV Record and the JOTA portal, always focusing on covering political events. She has experience in real-time coverage and has worked with hard news for most of her career. She followed the vote count in seven of the nine direct elections for president held after the redemocratization process. She covered the energy crisis in 2001, as well as the process of implementing regulatory agencies and the impeachment of Dilma Rousseff (PT).
