Welber Barral, Senior Partner at Barral M Jorge & Associates and member of the council of directors of the Brazilian Industries Coalition (BIC), will give a lecture, on February 4th, at the Institute of International Studies of Montreal – IEIM (Université Du Québec à Montréal – UQÀM) on the Brazilian Trade Policies.
Among other issues, the lecture will cover the Brazilian commercial policies between 2007 and 2011, when Barral was Secretary of Foreign Trade, and the recent developments of the South-American regionalism, particularly the EU-Mercosul negotiations.
The Institute was created in 2002 to support and strengthen the research initiatives and knowledge creation of the international relations areas of the Policial Science and Law departments of the University of Quebec – UQÀM.
